A neighbor residing next to the Dubrovnik hotel in Villa Gesell, which recently collapsed, has expressed concern about not being able to enter her apartment due to the fear of a possible new collapse. Although her home suffered no damage, she has been denied entry for safety reasons.
Adriana, the affected neighbor, has commented in various media outlets that during the renovation works being carried out at the hotel, she observed a "large opening" in the structure and the presence of an unusual number of workers circulating in the establishment. She pointed out that while she has seen workers at the site throughout the year, their presence intensified recently at different times.
Regarding the tragic collapse of the hotel that has impacted the city, Adriana shared: "My family and I are fine, but the building is split in half." This situation has left her without a job and without a home, and she is desperate to recover some documents that were left inside her apartment.
The neighbor also mentioned a couple affected by the collapse, where the husband lost his life and his wife was rescued alive. According to Adriana, they arrived from Balcarce on the day of the incident as they were owners and were preparing the house for the summer season. Communication with them ceased after the building's collapse, and so far, she has been unable to contact the neighbor from apartment 14 or the rescued woman.
In the midst of this tragic situation, uncertainty and fear have taken hold of the neighbors in the area, who watch with concern the consequences of the Dubrovnik hotel collapse on their daily lives.
